As we know, crazy watches get crazy expensive. And Ferrari merchandise, for some reason, attracts people with more money than sense like a modern art gallery on Black Friday. Combine both, and you’d get something like this.
It’s called the Hublot MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire, it’s a slightly cumbersome weird shape and the text is barely legible. As such, it has a starting price of more than $300,000, for which price you could have a brand-new 488 GTB and a lightly used 360 Modena just to round out your collection of great/slightly derivative/combustion-prone Italian money pits. Now I’ll just need a Ferrari laptop to go with it.

If I had $300,000 to burn, I still wouldn’t buy that watch.

I’d buy a different insane watch.

“To get the clock ticking, the watch is wound by a mechanism that requires a miniature power drill.”
umm..

Indeed. I forgot to mention that. And it’s apparently modeled after the one Ferrari’s F1 pit crew uses. These are the kinds of things Ferrari lets happen.

Wow, nice time pieces. Haven’t researched them before.

I’m actually salivating over that. I had the fortune to see one in real life. It was breath taking.

Believe it or not, I actually saw a guy exit his LaFerrari rocking that thing.
Also, there is no battery in that. It’s an automatic with a power reserve of 50 days, which is quite a feat of engineering.

Shows the drill in this video. Also use the drill to set the time.
